How do I buy a badge? How much does a badge cost?

  • You can buy badges through our Tabletop.events page.

  • Adult full weekend early bird badges are just $40.

  • Child full weekend badges are just $10 for kids ages 5-10.

  • Individual day badges are also available for: $25 for Friday, $40 for Saturday, $30 for Sunday.

  • When is Capital City Gaming Con?

    • Capital City Gaming Con will take place October 16-18, 2026. Hours for each day are as follows:

      • Friday, Oct 16, 12:00pm – 12:00am

      • Saturday, Oct 17, 8:00am – 12:00am

      • Sunday, Oct 18, 8:00am – 10:00pm

  • Where will Capital City Gaming Con take place?

    • Capital City Gaming Con will be held at the Holiday Inn- Airport, 6111 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, IA. See the Venue page for more details.

  • Is there a special hotel rate for Capital City Gaming Con?

    • Click here or call the front desk and reference Capital City Gaming Con for a discounted room rate of $129/night for a regular room or $175/night for a suite (plus tax).

  • What can I do at Capital City Gaming Con?

    • There will be plenty to do at Capital City Gaming Con, including, but not necessarily limited to:

      • Open Gaming (bring your own games, or check one out from our library of 1,500+ games)

      • Scheduled Gaming (sign up for schedule games/events on our tabletop.events page)

      • Play-to-Win games

      • Tournaments

  • What games will be available to play? Should I bring my own games?

    • You are more than welcome to bring your own games to play, but we will also have a large library of games available for you to check out, provided by Board Game Wagon. You can find a list of the games in their library here.

  • What about food?

    • The on-site restaurant, The Grill, is open for breakfast 6:00 AM-9:00 AM Friday, and 7:00 AM-9:30 AM Saturday and Sunday. Dinner hours are 5:00 PM-9:00 PM Friday and Saturday. There are many restaurants on Fleur Drive, Ingersoll Avenue, Army Post Road, and Southwest 9th Street, all within a few miles of the hotel. Many of these offer delivery through third party delivery services like Door Dash, Uber Eats, and Grub Hub.
